Hey everyone!
Today we pushed a pretty chunky update to the Owners Connect website. You may have noticed things look a little different, mostly because we attacked the site with purple, duct tape, caffeine, and questionable confidence.
What changed?
🌗 Light & Dark Mode
You can now switch between light mode and dark mode.
Yes, dark mode exists now.
Yes, light mode also exists.
No, we will not be emotionally responsible for your theme choices.
🏠 Homepage Refresh
The homepage got a much-needed glow-up. It now does a better job showing what Owners Connect actually has:
• Profiles
• Services
• Forums
• Guides
• Reports
• Reviews
• Community trust stuff
• Powered by Aethro things because of course it is
🛠️ Services Improvements
We cleaned up parts of the services system so listings are easier to browse, read, and understand.
Basically: less “what am I looking at?” and more “oh hey, this makes sense.”
✅ Verified Status Icons
Verified members now have visible status icons on the website.
Current verified/status icons include:
• Verified Server Owner
• Verified Provider
• Verified Developer
• OC Staff
• Web Team
• Reports Team
These come from verification handled through our Discord.
To be super clear: a verified badge does not mean Owners Connect officially endorses someone, their service, their pricing, their life choices, or their ability to not vanish mid-project.
It means they went through the checks we currently require for that verified status.
🛡️ Badges & Trust Updates
Profile badges are now easier to see, and verified/staff markers can appear on profiles, services, and forum posts.
So yes, forum posts can now show who is verified too. Fancy. Dangerous amount of professionalism.
🏷️ More Fun Badges Coming
We are also working on ways to give out some clever community badges.
Things like:
• Meme Department
• probably other nonsense
• maybe useful ones too, allegedly
A list of the new/fun badges will be posted tomorrow once we decide how chaotic we want to be.
💬 Forums Got Some Love
Forums received cleanup as well, including better profile and badge visibility on posts.
There is still more coming tomorrow, but this is a strong step forward for Owners Connect.
